Unfortunately most of those books I found counter productive.
A program is only as good as the instructor leading it and any subject can be easy or difficult based on the abilities of the instructor leading the program.
This book helps instructors find out if they are highly effective or highly ineffective. It provides great examples including how to teach calculus in one page. (Wish the author was my teacher)

This is the most poorly written and edited book I've read in the education field. Its full of typos. It appears to be a self publishing effort. Still, it does make some strong arguments and good suggestions to improve any instructor's methods and attitudes.
I have read dozens of books where the author discusses pedagogical skills versus andragogical skills and teaches you nothing.
This book is not one of them.
This book helps you find out if you or your instructors are highly effective or highly ineffective.
A program is only as good as the instructor leading it. Dr. Lanoutte provides examples of how to be a highly effective instructor. One of his examples shows a simple method of teaching calculus. When you see it you will realize a good instructor can make any subject fun and interesting.
If you are a new instructor or a veteran who wants to improve their skills, I highly suggest this book.
All US students should understand the premise of process improvement and the elimination of waste. We sadly have gotten away from this early 1980 teaching, and need to get back to the basics.

Had some great pointers and tips however some of them seem to be somewhat childish. When we are training in a technical environment it seems as though the students should be motivated to be there in the first place and not entertained. I know, I know. I read the book and the Author is certainly qualified. Just my opinion!
